I have problems with connecting my Nokia device using Bluetooth wireless technology. What might be the reason?

Bluetooth might not work due to the computer settings (there are two competing Bluetooth stacks installed, etc). Double check and re-detect/ re-scan Bluetooth devices on the computer. Check the Nokia device settings: by default the device should not be hidden and Bluetooth should be switched on. If that does not work, it may help to reboot both your computer and device.

I want to change the sync options from what I gave in the initial installation. How to do it?

In Nokia Ovi Suite, navigate to Tools/Options and select Device sync and change the options you want.

I have previously changed the sync options and when I use another device, the changed options have been lost. What is going on?

The sync options are device specific. After connecting to a new device, its sync options can be found in Nokia Ovi Suite under Tools/Options and Device sync for that specific device from the pull-down list.

I have a new device and I restored a backup file from my old device phone. The restore menu does not show content as an option to restore. Has the backup file been corrupted?

Check that your new device model is the same as the old one. If they are different, some of the content may be incompatible and thus not available for restore. When restoring to a different device model the restore options may be limited (depends on the device model combination). Setting and applications cannot be restored to different device phone models.

I have restored a backup and the device had to be rebooted. Did something go wrong?

If you restore to a device which is same model, a reboot is necessary in the end of the process.

Which USB mode do I use on my device when I set up connection between my device and PC?

Make sure that the following requirements are met:
The date and time settings are the same in your computer and in your Nokia device.
The same time zone is selected for your computer and for your Nokia device.
